Tenerife

– Holiday photo tour –

In the heart of the Canary Islands archipelago, in the Atlantic Ocean, Tenerife is one of the seven tropical islands.

Off the coast of Africa and the Sahara desert, it has a pleasant climate almost all year round, but the island is much more than just sun and sea.

The particular feature is its volcanic origin, which substantially characterizes its landscapes.

The volcano of Tenerife, called “El Teide,” is the third-highest volcano in the world, and its height reaches 3718 meters above sea level. You can reach it through the National Park with the same name, where you can admire incredible scenery between spectacular rock formations, lava formations, and Martian scenarios.

Thanks to its moderate altitude, the Teide National Park is ideal for astronomical observation! Moreover, the Canary Islands are one of the three best places on the planet for observing the sky, and Tenerife is home to the largest solar observatory in the world.

What is the audience of the photo tour?

This is a trip aimed at all lovers of photography and to those who want to enjoy the incredible landscapes that this island offers. We will visit and photograph all the most beautiful places on the island, we will alternate shooting sessions at dawn, at sunset, and at night.

During the workshop, we will study all aspects related to landscape photography, day and night, from photography theory to post-production. We will start from the theoretical and technical bases, we will see how to apply them, we will evaluate together the shots obtained, and finally, we will see various post-production workflows based on the files that we will have available to us. The aim is to go back home with a fantastic experience and captivating landscape photographs.

Do you want to know more about the educational program?

You can leave us your email without any obligation, and you will receive the educational program and other detailed information.

      Equipment

      Every participant will need:

      • A digital camera.
      • A tripod.
      • A remote control to take pictures that can exceed 30 seconds of exposure.
      • A wide angle lens and a medium telephoto.
      • A laptop (optional).
      • Photographic filters (optional).
      • Notepad to take notes

There will be various Feisol stands and NiSi filters at your disposal.

      Participation

To offer the best experience, we have set a maximum limit of 10 people so that we can have a low number of participants and follow each one in the best possible way!

The minimum number to confirm the trip is at least four people. Once this number has been reached, everything will be confirmed with each booking by email or direct contact. If the minimum amount is not reached, the advance payments previously made will be refunded.

      What should you wear

Tenerife offers a pleasantly mild climate (min 20°/max 30°), so the ideal clothing will be summer-wear (for those with sensitive skin, we recommend a suitable protective cream for the hottest days).

In the evening, for the colder ones, an anorak/sweatshirt is already enough as the average temperature is still warm.

On the Teide National Park, we will be at over 2800 meters above sea level, and the situation changes.

During the day, it is important to protect yourself from the sun with a hat and possibly protective cream.

During the night, in the coldest months of the year, temperatures can drop well below zero.

But in July, on average, temperatures range from 10 to 20 degrees at night, depending on the strength of the wind, so we recommend warmer clothing because of these possible lower temperatures during night-time excursions.

Trekking shoes, because although the main paths are easy to travel, it is advisable to wear good comfortable shoes and especially ones that have a good grip on slippery tracks.

      Required documents and local currency

Tenerife is a part of the Spanish territory within the European Community.

A valid identity document for expatriation will be enough, but for security reasons, it is always better to bring your passport with you.

As for the currency used in the country, it is still the Euro (€).

Most credit cards or prepaid cards will be accepted on-site (even a simple PostePay will be accepted).

        Refund and cancellation policy

If a participant decides to cancel his reservation, he can do so at any time by communicating it as soon as possible to the official email address of one of the two organizers.

However, you should keep in mind that the cancellation by a participant would create management difficulties in bookings as well as the risk of not reaching the minimum number of participants for the trip (and consequently the need to search for a new person).

        Because of that:

        • If the cancellation request is submitted MORE than 60 days (before departure), you may receive a refund of the booking fee.
        • If the cancellation request is presented LESS than 60 days before departure, it will NOT be possible to receive a refund of the booking fee.

*Unless the customer that desires to cancel his booking brings in another person who is willing to take his place by paying the total amount of the trip itself.

The entire amount paid (deposit or full fee) will be fully refunded if the event is canceled.
