🐉⭐️Another one of those "double arc Arctic nights", my favorite nights ever!
.
Do you recognize the place and the night ?
.
👩‍🚀Same night as when I made my most famous panorama, published by NASA as astronomical photo of the day (APOD) last December 13 2022 and many famous newspapers around the world.
.
A few minutes later I changed composition and made this panorama too, just in time before the Northern Lights exploded taking over the whole sky.
.
🦄In the last few years in Lofoten I've planned and realized several "double arc" panoramas but, each time it's really complicated because so many things have to coincide that hardly coincide in the Arctic, like having the Aurora visible only to the North, the Moon must not be present in the sky and at that time the sky has to be clear and there has to be such a situation that allows reaching the peaks without going against too many risks.
.
💚💛Then imagine being there at the top of a mountain, in the middle between the Aurora Borealis and the Milky Way knowing that this moment might last only a few seconds or a few minutes and you instead of admiring it have to stay focused on your camera equipment. Believe me, every time I tremble and hardly contain my excitement!
.
Concluding this pano, I lay down on top of the mountain and enjoyed a red and magenta explosion of the Northern Lights that flooded the sky and lit up my path on my descent down to the beach.

This was my last night under the Northern Lights last season at Haukland beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
.
It's about a 200-degree pano, exactly northward on Mount Mannen you can see the Big Dipper, the North Star and the Little Dipper immersed in the spectacular Northern Lights.

🌴Madeira Island offers incredible landscapes in every corner.
.
Here we are in the only arid area of the island, on a night dominated by the power of the wind and the Atlantic Ocean.
.
The wind was so strong that my wife and I held onto the tripod, trying to stay still without moving 😂.
It was almost impossible; in fact, the foreground isn't sharp due to the darkness, and even 30 seconds at 10000 ISO weren't enough to capture a sharp photo.
It went a bit better for the sky, with just 10 seconds of exposure at 10000 ISO.
.
😍But I really wanted to share this shot from one of the most beautiful spots on the island.
.
Oh right, we also fought with the clouds that night, as they didn't want to leave.
.
💚Madeira is an incredible island, offering many types of landscapes that are completely different from each other.
I believe it's the perfect island for all landscape photographers!
.

Fanal forest is one of those places to see and go back to many times both during the day and at night, it's one of those places where you have to walk in silence listening to what these creatures of the forest have to tell you.

During the day in a few minutes the colors change due to the sudden changes of light and during the night alone in the midst of those majestic trees with their fascinating and scary shapes at the same time, a shiver runs through your veins while you are observing the starry sky✨

After my summer photo tours in the Dolomites here I am again in front of the computer writing articles for our blog, editing new photos to show you and organizing new fantastic photo tours.

🌊 Today I show you another seascape but from another island always surrounded by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, that of Tenerife. An island with incredible landscapes able to surprise you in every corner.

The magic of the Madeira island is the ability to enchant you in every corner!

Here we are at my favorite beach on the island, I had so much fun here during the sunrise, during the sunset and at night with the Milky Way tail right there above those stacks.
.
I'll never forget this photo, we got that spot after a night spent photographing the Milky Way at pico di Ruivo. I was very tired, with difficulty I reached this beach by driving, lovers of night photography can understand me!😁
.
😍This scene totally recharged me, that soft light that filtered through the clouds, the sound of the river water flowing among the stones and the power of the ocean that hurled its waves against the stacks.
.

I've spent the last two months exploring this amazing island in every detail, this Tajinaste field is the place I've come back the most both during the day and under an amazing Galaxy.
.
🌺These flowers bloom only once every two years and to find their best you have to reach the island from mid May to mid June.
.
This year was particularly lucky, I had never seen so many Tajinaste close together, they created a fairytale scene that didn't seem real, a playground for me.😄
.
Behind me in this scenario was the imposing volcano Teide, which reigned over its valley.🌋
.

I start showing you the new 2023 adventure in Tenerife with a scene never seen before! 😍
You know that I like to find something never seen from everywhere and I like this even more if it's from inside a cave!😂

Between the 2 photo tours here in Tenerife I decided to spend a month with my family on this fantastic island for some relaxation and especially to explore it in its smallest details.📸
.
Going back to this scene I'm showing you, I planned it 4 years ago but the clouds never let me capture it.
This May finally a hole in the sky opened just after the onset of darkness.
.
It's a 360 degree panorama not too complicated like my other night panoramas, it was quite easy to take all the shots and merge them together in front of the computer.
.
As you can see the real caveman travels the world exploring it by changing houses every time and instead of sleeping he observes the starry sky.😁🧌✨

The season of the magical Northern Lights is coming to an end in Lofoten and the sun will take over illuminating the islands 24 hours a day.

After several photo tours in a row in the Arctic and in the Dolomites in frozen environments I can't wait to start my summer photo tours in the Canary Islands and the summer Dolomites where instead of ice and the Aurora there are flowers and stars😍

Tenerife is one of those places that never ceases to amaze me, a few meters of walking are enough to find incredible compositions.

✨A perfect setting for night photography under the most beautiful sky in Europe and there is no shortage of seascapes with stacks that stand out from the ocean and even fairytale forests between fog and mystery.

This island is a real playground for us landscape photographers!

That night we were there waiting for the magical Northern Lights when he yelled: “daddy look how many stars there are!!!”

This was the beginning of an unforgettable night first under the stars and then everything turned green.
